Guided by vision, IMS Hardwoods has led as Mexican exotic wood experts since 1995.
IMS Hardwoods is a family-run business located in the Costa Alegre region of Jalisco, Mexico, a privileged area of the Pacific Ocean with a great deal of resources and a wide variety of wood species.
Founded in 1995 by Mr. Isidro Magana, the company initially sold native woods in limited quantities. However, he recognised that Mexican wood's superior quality and stunning aesthetics deserved global recognition, and as such, he embarked on international expeditions.
He searched for customers beyond Mexico, knocking on doors to expand his business. In 1998, they began shipping logs to Japan's largest veneer manufacturers, and in the years that followed, extended their operations to include shipping logs and lumber to Europe, North America, and Asia.
Since then, our mission has been, and will continue to be, the sourcing and procurement of the highest quality timber, always in compliance with the standards and guidelines of national forestry authorities, to meet the high requirements of our customers. Our reputation as Mexican exotic wood experts has been built on decades of commitment to quality and sustainable practices.
Nowadays, we offer a selection of logs, as well as kiln-dried lumber, turning blanks and slabs of a range of exotic Mexican species, sourced exclusively from well-regulated and responsible suppliers.
